ServiceExpress is American Honda’s Web-based system for delivering electronic service publications to the aftermarket. In ServiceExpress, technicians have access to the same service information available to Honda and Acura dealers: service manuals, service bulletins, ServiceNews, wiring diagrams, body repair manuals, accessory installation instructions, owner’s manuals, and the parts catalogs in one convenient place.When you use ServiceExpress, you get the latest parts and service information available, and you can search across many types of publications simultaneously. How does it work? You search in ServiceExpress by selecting the Model and Year of the vehicle you re working on, then choose a subject or enter a keyword. ServiceExpress will retrieve all service information related to the subject or keyword to help you repair the vehicle. NOTE: We continually update ServiceExpress, so a printed copy of the ServiceExpress User’s Guide may not exactly match what you see on your computer screen. This isn t usually a problem, because the basic ServiceExpress searching and navigation procedures do not change. Open Internet Explorer, and go to the ServiceExpress Web site by entering http://www.ServiceExpress.Honda.com, or https://techinfo.honda.com. 2. The ServiceExpress log-in page opens. Fill in your User name and Password, and click the START button. 3. If you don t currently have a User name and Password, you will need to subscribe to ServiceExpress and complete the registration process. Subscribe as a Security Professional Keys and Codes Subscriber Subscribe as a Standard Subscriber 2 of 22 Standard ServiceExpress Service & Parts Information Subscriptions Online service information is available for 1990 through the current model year, plus all active bulletins back to the early 70′s. There are 3 types of subscriptions – 3-day, 30-day, or 365-day. ServiceExpress Security Professional Keys & Codes Subscriptions You must be a registered member of the Associated Locksmiths of America (ALOA) and a current ServiceExpress Security Professionals subscriber. This subscription type will give you access to all Standard Subscription data plus the ability to obtain Honda and Acura key code and immobilizer information. There are 2 types of subscriptions – 3- day or 365-day. 3 of 22 Overview of ServiceExpress Search Screens Before starting the tutorial, take a quick look at the four main screens used in ServiceExpress. 2. What’s New Screen This is a quick way to see what service information was published recently, as well as to see any changes to the ServiceExpress system. You can view this information:  Publications posted in the last 30 days  What’s in ServiceExpress so far  System Enhancements See page 5 in this guide. 3. Service Info Screen (Type in a keyword or pick a subject) Use this screen to find repair information for a specific vehicle with a customer complaint or problem. Information can be found two ways: By keyword  By subject See page 6 in this guide. 1. Home Screen (default screen)This is the first ServiceExpress screen you see. The left side contains ServiceExpress navigation tips, with quick links to helpful information. The right side contains an explanation of important safety messages that you may encounter while searching for information in ServiceExpress.See page 4 in this guide. 4. Labor Time Screen (Type in a keyword or pick a subject) Use this screen to find labor time information for a specific vehicle with a customer complaint or problem. Information can be found two ways: By keyword  By subject See page 21 in this guide. 6. Tools Info Screen Use this screen to find any posted information on:  Honda Diagnostic System (HDS) Software Package  Vehicle Communication Interface (VCI) Tools  Control Module Programming (Software, Tools)=  Control Module (CM) Initialization (new CM installation) See page 17 in this guide. 7. Parts Info Screen  Search either by Vehicle Information or VIN  Search by catalog or section, common repair or keyword  Order online though your ServiceExpress eStore dealer See page 18 in this guide. 8. Keys & Codes Screen Details how to subscribe to ServiceExpress Security Professionals See page 20 in this guide. 5. Training Info Screen Honda and Acura training is available on a special web site at Helm Inc. On this site you will find information about:  the training program  how to navigate a Subject Area Map.  how to purchase training materials. See page 16 in this guide. 4 of 22 Home Screen This screen comes up automatically after you log in. From here, you can begin your search for information by clicking on the What’s New, Service Info, Labor Time, Training Info, Tools Info, Parts Info, or Keys & Codes navigation tabs. Tip: To maximize the screen window, press the F11 key. 5 of 22 What’s New Screen To move to the What’s New Screen, click on the What’s New navigation tab on the ServiceExpress navigation bar. This screen lists the service information that was published recently, the current content summary, and the latest changes to the ServiceExpress system.The What’s New screen defaults to Publications posted in the last 30 days. This screen lists all the recently published service publications by category. The most current publications are located at the top of each category.NOTE: If you have subscribed to both Honda and Acura information, you will see both Publications posted in the last 30 days.You can open, review, and print any item displayed on the right by clicking on the blue text links. BLUE TEXT LINKS 6 of 22 Click on the What’s in ServiceExpress so far category on the left side of the screen. This is a summary of the publications currently available in ServiceExpress, and a listing of the models and years for these publications. By clicking on the System Enhancements category on the left-side navigation bar, you can review the latest changes to ServiceExpress functions or procedures. Click on any of the purple text links on the right side of the screen to read through a selection. 7 of 22 Service Info Screen Use this screen to find repair information for a specific vehicle with a customer complaint or problem.
