Open MS Word and create your document. 2. Save your document as you usually would so that you have a MS Word document that you consider your Master document. 3. Now save your document as a Read Only MS Word .doc. To do this from File>Save As and then name your file. Note in the right hand corner of the screen you see tools, click on the drop down for Tools and scroll to Security Options. 4. The following screen then appears. Be sure to check the check box for Read Only. Then click Ok.
