I have found that after removing the airbox, muffler mods, and adding Multi-Lube to the oil, the engine runs and shifts much smoother, turbo lag is eliminated, boost begins 500 to 1000 rpm sooner than before, engine hiccups are eliminated, cold starts are effortless and smooth, and the engine output is noticeably greater. Also engine temperature is reduced 1 to 2 needle widths on the gauge. My 500 is almost as strong as my 650 was stock, and now the 650 is really an animal. I can spin the tire at will in the first three gears.
